Educational Consulting Center Students International
The Educational Consulting Center Students International was founded as a private enterprise in 1993 to give opportunity to young and ambitious people from the for-mer Soviet Union to undertake studies overseas. SI started with short-term language courses abroad but very shortly began to direct students for long-term lan-guage training, secondary and ter-tiary studies. We offer combined courses comprising preparatory language training, vocational and foundation programmes, under-graduate and postgraduate studies, and other educational opportunities. Annually we recruit up to 1,000 -1,200 students for overseas stud-ies. About 60% of the students travel to enter language courses that are longer than б months and/or secondary or tertiary studies.
Study Destinations
SI offers educational opportunities avail-able in Australia, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Malta and other European countries and Japan. We have long-term partner-ships with more than 100 best overseas language schools, vocational colleges, institutes of studies and universities in many countries. However, we are still eager to expand the range of our partnership and are open for co-operation with new educational institutions. We have good reputation and excellent operational liaison with the Embassies and diplomatic mis-sions issuing visas to our clients.
Marketing Strategies
The SI policy is to apply aggressive adver-tisement campaigns of partner institutions and their study programmes, to participate in the principal specialized exhibitions and workshops, to release articles on foreign educational opportunities and to publish brochures on the national educational sys-tems and programmes offered by the part-ner schools (totally 10 editions have been released), to organize presentations and exhibitions of these educational institutions. In 2000, 2001 and 2002 together with our overseas partners we organized three trav-elling Through-Russia Study in Australia Exhibitions in such cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Ekaterinburg, Tumen, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, and Vladivostok. In 2002 this route was fol-lowed again by the Study in Canada Exhibition. In 2002 -2003 SI and the part-ner institutions organized and held three Through-Russia Study in New Zealand Exhibitions m the above cities and also in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. The exhibitions and presenta-tions turned out to be great success and attracted a lot of public attention (500-1000 attendees in each city). It resulted in the growing number of students recruited for overseas studies. The detailed informa-tion on the exhibitions and presentations organized by SI is available at one of the two Internet sites administered by the company: www.si-exhibition.ru.
